- 1 orang dari kalangan teknologi, yaitu pakar di bidang rekayasa teknologi energi
- 1 orang dari kalangan lingkungan hidup, yaitu pakar lingkungan hidup di bidang energi
- 2 orang dari kalangan konsumen, yaitu masyarakat pengguna energi

- Mempunyai integritas dan dedikasi yang tinggi
- Mempunyai pendidikan sekurang-kurangnya S1 dan atau berpengalaman dan memiliki kemampuan profesionalisme di bidang energi

- Tidak pernah dihukum karena melakukan tindak pidana kejahatan
- Sehat jasmani dan rohani
- Diusulkan oleh lembaga pendidikan, organisasi profesi atau asosiasi Tata Cara Pengajuan Lamaran

-Bagi calon anggota DEN yang dinyatakan memenuhi persyaratan, akan dipanggil untuk mengikuti assessment.
